I am an evolutionary biologist and independent research fellow at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria.

I aim to make evolutionary theory and data happy bedfellows.

Specifically, I use genomic datasets from a wide range of organisms (e.g. fruit flies, humans, comparative public datasets) to test fundamental theories about evolution and adaptation. I am particularly keen on quantifying genetic constraints to adaptation (e.g., due to trade-offs between sexes, dominance, mutation). See my research page for more.
